BANG!

Last night I checked out Bang Said The Gun, a stand-up poetry evening held at the Roebuck pub, SE1. I was properly impressed, a genuinely fun evening that takes a riotous approach to spoken word, with a punk aesthetic that is reflected by both it's anarchic design and enthusiasm for loudly shaking chic-pea filled milk cartons (trust me, they make a LOT of noise) It was one of the most refreshing and fun interpretations of spoken word performance that i've been to, i'd really recommend going down there, the speakers gave us a wide range of performance, everything from odd character comedy, touching anecdotes and witty observations through to audience games and even rap.
